Our story
The ORIGIN OF THE NAME ‘MBH Fitness’
Barry, our male coach, created the Mind Body Health Fitness name. It incorporates our purpose – without a strong mind, a strong body cannot be forged, and optimal health comes with a strong body and a strong mind.
We strive to bring a growth mindset to everyone who enters our doors. The mind is like a muscle, and it must be trained, worked with, and encouraged to get stronger. With a strong mind and will to improve, we can help the body transform.
Who we are and what we do?
Our journey began in October 2021 when our doors opened in unit 32 of Down Business Park.
When MBH Fitness partners Barry and Michelle, personal trainers and fitness enthusiasts, decided to open a state-of-the-art personal training fitness facility in Downpatrick.
In January of 2023, we decided to go all in on a small group training platform. We phased out 1 to 1 training and introduced a comprehensive membership package.
We have now gone one better and reinvented our primary membership package; from September 2023, it operates as a Women’s only small group training facility.
We help women achieve better health, vitality, longevity, and fitness. We are a thriving health and fitness community with empowering members and coaches pushing people to the next level in their health and fitness journey.
No goal is unattainable; whether it is weight loss, muscle building or building general fitness, enjoyment of exercise is at the heart of what we do with our members.
